It’s a great time to be a physician recruiter.

U.S. News & World Report just released their list of the 100 Best Jobs in the U.S. for 2015 and physician jobs ranked #4 overall. Even better, physician jobs ranked #3 for best health care jobs.

What’s makes physician jobs one of the “best” jobs? U.S. News says there are some unequivocal factors that define a good job. One of the most important: These jobs are hiring. The best jobs also pay well; they challenge you; and there’s room to grow and advance. Physician jobs are positioned for abundant growth, too. The Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasts 123,300 new job openings for physicians between 2012 and 2022. No surprise, they cite an aging population with increasing health concerns, and healthcare reform that’s driving more Americans to health care services for the physician job growth

The report includes some other great insights for physician recruitment, too, including median salaries. In 2013, for instance, a general internist made a median salary of $186,850. And which areas of the country pay physicians particularly well? Wilmington, North Carolina; Wichita, Kansas; and Tallahassee, Florida. You can read more insights about physician jobs here.
